Al Zuni Heritage
Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your relationship with Al Zuni Heritage across our online store, our boutiques, and every service we provide. Please read them with the same care we bring to each handcrafted piece.
Al Zuni Heritage is a premier retail destination specializing in authentic, handcrafted Native American jewelry and Southwest art, sourced directly from skilled indigenous artisans. By accessing our website, creating an account, or purchasing from us in any channel, you agree to the terms set out below.
01General Terms & Acceptance
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "customer," or "user") and Al Zuni Heritage ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company"). They apply to your use of our website, mobile experiences, physical boutiques, and all related products, services, and communications (collectively, the "Services").
By browsing our website, placing an order, visiting our stores, or otherwise engaging with our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.
You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to make a purchase or create an account. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please discontinue use of the Services.
Back to top02Account Registration & Security
To access certain features, including order tracking, wishlists, and our loyalty program, you may create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep that information updated.
Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately at [Contact Email] if you suspect any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
- You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to any other person.
Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account, refuse service, or cancel orders at our sole discretion, including where we suspect fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity, or a violation of these Terms.
Back to top03eCommerce & Online Purchases
Pricing
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise noted and are exclusive of applicable taxes, duties, and shipping fees, which are calculated at checkout. Prices are subject to change without notice. In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order placed at the incorrect price, even after an order confirmation has been sent.
Payment
We accept major credit and debit cards and other payment methods displayed at checkout. By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method and authorize us to charge the full order amount, including taxes and shipping.
Order Confirmation
An order confirmation email acknowledges receipt of your order; it does not constitute acceptance. A binding contract is formed only when we dispatch the item(s). Because many pieces are handcrafted and one-of-a-kind, an item may become unavailable after ordering, in which case we will notify you and issue a full refund.
Cancellation
You may request cancellation of an order before it enters fulfillment by contacting us promptly at [Contact Email] or [Contact Phone]. Once an order has shipped, it is governed by our Returns policy in Section 05.
Back to top04Shipping & Delivery
Domestic Shipping
We ship within the United States via insured, trackable carriers. Standard delivery is typically 3-7 business days after dispatch; expedited options are available at checkout. Signature confirmation may be required for high-value pieces.
International Shipping
We ship to select international destinations. Delivery timeframes vary by location, typically 7-21 business days. You, as the recipient, are the importer of record and are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees, which are not included in our prices.
Timeframes
Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs processing, weather, or other events beyond our reasonable control.
Risk of Loss
Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery of the item to the carrier for shipment. We insure shipments in transit; any loss or damage claim must be reported to us within 48 hours of the carrier-recorded delivery.
Back to top05Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
We want you to treasure every piece. If you are not fully satisfied, the following policy applies.
Timeframes
- Return or exchange requests must be initiated within 30 days of delivery.
- Items must be returned in unworn, original condition with all tags, certificates of authenticity, and original packaging intact.
Conditions & Exclusions
- Custom, engraved, resized, or made-to-order pieces are final sale and non-returnable, except where they arrive defective.
- Earrings and certain intimate items are non-returnable for hygiene reasons.
- One-of-a-kind artisan works may be subject to individual return terms noted on the product page.
Restocking Fees & Refunds
A restocking fee of up to 15% may apply to select high-value returns; this will be disclosed before you complete a return. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7-14 business days of our receiving and inspecting the returned item. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return results from our error.
Authenticity note: Because we deal in genuine handcrafted Native American jewelry, all returns are verified against our records to protect both our customers and the artisans we represent.
06In-Store & Point of Sale Purchases
Receipt Policy
A valid receipt or proof of purchase is required for all in-store returns, exchanges, and warranty claims. We may record purchase details to your account for your convenience.
Price Matching
We may, at our discretion, honor a price match on identical, in-stock items against qualifying published prices. Price matching does not apply to clearance, one-of-a-kind, auction, or third-party marketplace listings.
Layaway
Where offered, our layaway program allows you to reserve a piece with a deposit and scheduled payments. Layaway terms, including deposit amounts, payment schedules, and cancellation conditions, are provided in writing at the time of enrollment. Cancelled layaway plans may be subject to a service fee, and deposits may be issued as store credit rather than a cash refund.
Back to top07Product Descriptions & Accuracy
We strive to describe every piece as accurately as possible. However, because our inventory is handcrafted, natural variation is expected and celebrated.
Jewelry Specifications
Measurements, weights, and dimensions are approximate. Handmade pieces may vary slightly from photographs and from one another. Such variation is a hallmark of authentic artisan craftsmanship and is not a defect.
Gemstone Grading
Natural gemstones, including turquoise, coral, and spiny oyster shell, exhibit unique color, matrix, and inclusion characteristics. Any grading descriptors are provided in good faith and reflect our reasonable assessment; they are not a guarantee of investment or resale value. Stabilized or treated stones will be identified where applicable.
Metal Purity
Metal content (for example, sterling silver or 14k gold) is stated to the best of our knowledge based on artisan and supplier representations. Screen colors may differ from actual finishes due to monitor settings.
Back to top08Warranty & Repairs
Manufacturer Warranty
Eligible pieces are covered against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the period stated on the product page or accompanying documentation. This warranty does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, loss, theft, improper care, or unauthorized repairs or alterations.
Repair Services
We offer repair and restoration services for pieces purchased from us. Contact us at [Contact Email] to arrange an assessment. Out-of-warranty repairs, resizing, and restringing are quoted individually. We take great care but cannot guarantee against inherent risks in repairing older or delicate handcrafted items.
Care Instructions
- Store each piece separately in a soft pouch to prevent scratching.
- Avoid contact with water, perfume, lotion, and household chemicals.
- Gently clean silver and stones with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners on natural turquoise.
- Remove jewelry before swimming, bathing, or strenuous activity.
09Customer Loyalty & Rewards Program
Earning
Enrolled members earn points on qualifying purchases made online and in-store. Points have no cash value and are non-transferable. Certain items, gift cards, taxes, and shipping charges may be excluded from earning.
Redemption
Points may be redeemed for discounts or rewards as described in the program details at the time of redemption. Rewards cannot be combined with certain promotions unless expressly stated.
Expiration
Points may expire after a defined period of account inactivity. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before points expire.
Program Changes
We may modify, suspend, or terminate the loyalty program, or any member's participation, at any time and for any reason. Accrued but unredeemed points may be forfeited upon program termination or account closure.
Back to top10Gift Cards & Store Credit
Purchase & Redemption
Gift cards may be purchased online or in-store and redeemed toward eligible merchandise. Gift cards are not reloadable unless stated and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law.
Balance
You may check your remaining balance online or at any of our boutiques. Purchases exceeding the card balance require payment of the difference through another accepted method.
Expiration
Gift cards and store credit do not expire except where permitted by applicable law. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or unauthorized use of gift cards. Store credit issued for returns is non-transferable and may be tied to your account.
